How do you get a fishing rod on Sims 2: Castaway?

I’ve had over 100 game days, but still no fishing rod. It seems like the game has come to a halt because all I do on it now is eat, dig and look in the box that gets washed up every day.

Basically you have to make it like everything else. You need enough materials. I would list them, but I beat the game a year ago, and haven’t played in forever. Sorry ):
But when you build it, it will tell you the quantity and items of what you need. You do have the building post, right?
