thats the best, they say. Dont use honey or red dye. I just looked this up by searching ‘hummingbird migration’

Basically yes, but you can add some red food coloring in that to color the water. Some people have used Kool-Aid too, but as long as it is a sugary water mixture and it’s in a container that is appealing to the little creatures, they will be very happy. Good luck! Outdoor birds are wonderful creations for us humans to learn from and watch.

Basically…the mixture should be 1 to 4 (one cup sugar for every four cups of water)…heat the mixture to dissolve the sugar, let cool. Replace once/week.
PS: NO FOOD COLORING!
