What size fishing rod do you prefer?

If you like crank baiting best in bass fishing then tell me what length you like the rod to be then, or if you like jigging for walleye, etc. Whatever you like best, what size rod do you use for it?
I normally like a 6 foot rod for almost any fishing. Sometimes a 6’6 for drop-shotting in bass fishing but, overall for everything i would like a 6 foot rod. How about you?
I normally use a 5’6 rod panfishing.

hey man, i only use 2 different sized rods for freshwater fishing 6 foot medium action when cranking or using plastics for bass and when going after catfish and the other is a 7 foot light action when going after pan fish. i guess that the type of rod to use really all depends on the fisherman. to each is own i guess. i like medium rare steak you might like over cooked steak. in the long run it is still steak. i hope this helps you out a bit. good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

6 1/2′ rated 8 to 15lb line. use for most everything. also use 6s and 7 footers. even use an almost 8ft flippin stick. l try to be prepared for any circumstance. you should see the back of the suv when my dad and l go together. l don’t have any walleye rods.

7′ (and UP) one-piece rods are very “hot” right now in the pro Bass/Walleye realm.
Personally, I try to get a rod (either for Walleye or Bass) in the 6’6″-7′ size.
And for Flippin/Pitchin a 7′ 6″- 8′ is standard.
Believe it or not, you can get an extra 20FT with a foot difference in a rod.
Everyone wants to be able to cast farther.

For crankbaiting I use a 7 foot medium action baitcasting rod with a shorter handle than from the factory
For light jigs 1/4 oz or less I use a 7 foot medium light spinning rod
for heavier jigs or split shotting plastics I use a 5′ 9″ medium spinning rod
For trollong ( which I do for Walleye) I sue 2 rods, a 7 1/2 foot flippin stick and a 9 1/2 foot Steelhead rod to get a few more inches away from the boat
